Wayland- Marion Florence Uhl age 93, passed away late Sunday evening September 21, 2014, at her home in Wayland. She was born in Dalton September 3, 1921, a daughter of the late Daniel and Hazel (Washburn) Burr. On February 22, 1941, she married the love of her life John E. Uhl, who predeceased her on April 30, 1995. She was also predeceased by her siblings Leon (Florence) Burr, brothers in law Howard Kreiley, Robert Cooper. Marion was a longtime member of the Springwater Church of the Nazarene. She volunteered at the Monroe Community Hospital for over 5 years. She enjoyed Camping, Gardening, Cooking and Canning. She also loved spending time with her family and her many grandchildren. Marion is survived by her children Janet (Raymond) Millis of Clyde, James Uhl of Wayland, Stephen (Mary) Uhl of Cohocton, a brother Robert (Ruth) Burr of Pennsylvania; sisters Ruth Kreiley of Sparta, Lula White of California, Helen Cooper of Cohocton, and Dorris Culley of Pennsylvania Friends may call Friday from 1 to 4 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. in Dansville, a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Springwater Church of the Nazarene. Interment will be in Union Cemetery Dalton. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
