Dansville- Mary K. Boyd age 94, passed away early Sunday morning November 9, 2014, at the Livingston County CNFR in Mt. Morris, where she had been a resident for the past several years. She was born in Dansville, on April 19, 1920, a daughter of the late John Paul and Lucy (Gross) Knowlton. She was also predeceased by a sister Lucia Knowlton, and a brother John Knowlton. On September 7, 1957, at St. Patrick's Church in Dansville she was married to Harvey Boyd who survives. She was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. Mary was a clerk typist at the former Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. in Dansville for over twenty years. She also worked at the Blum shoe factory in Dansville, and the Us Navy Office formerly of Buffalo. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and being a homemaker. Surviving in addition to her husband Harvey, are a sister, Bertha Bentavegna of Rochester and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday from 2:00-6:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 am at St., Mary's Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville.
