Obituary of Kyle James Button

Dansville- Kyle James Button age 30, passed away early Wednesday morning January 21, 2015, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville He was born in Dansville on July 28, 1984, a son of Paul and Tina (Sliker) Button. On May 2, 2009, he was married to Lynne Thompson Button who survives. He was predeceased by an infant child Parker in January of 2013 and his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Ethel Button, and maternal grandfather Al Sliker. Kyle was a Graduate of Dansville Central School, he earned his Bachelor's in Education from SUNY Oswego and his Master's in Education from Walden University. He was a combined fifth and sixth grade teacher with his wife Lynne at the Ellis B. Hyde Elementary School in Dansville. Kyle will be remembered for his courageous fight and the dignity he displayed in the face of insurmountable challenges. He was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, friend, coach, and teacher. He lived and breathed sports and the thrill of the game. Kyle touched and changed the lives of many people with his ability to smile through the difficult times. He inspired many by the way in which he lived his short life with passion and the unwillingness to allow his situation to conquer his spirit. Surviving in addition to his dear wife Lynne Button, are a son, Matthew James Button, his mother and father Paul and Tina Button, a brother Charles (Casey) Button, his maternal grandmother Joyce Sliker, his father and mother in-law James and Wendy Thompson, two brothers in-law Jeffrey (Jessica) Thompson, Patrick Thompson, a niece Zoey Thompson and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Foursquare Church on West Ave., in Dansville. A funeral service for adults only will be held at the Dansville Presbyterian Church on Monday at 11:00 am. Interment will be private in Wayland Village Cemetery in Wayland.
