Dansville- David C. Hamilton age 70, passed away peacefully Thursday morning July 16, 2015, at the Vincent House in Wayland following brief illness. He was born in Erie, PA on May 20, 1945, a son of the late John and Lucy (Love) Hamilton. On December 20, 1986, he was married to Kay Carmody Hamilton, who predeceased him on March 1, 2005. David was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a Union Carpenter for Local # 85 Carpenter's Union. David was a longtime supporter of the Democratic Party. He enjoyed visiting and photographing covered bridges in the Northeast. He was a member of the New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania Covered Bridge Society. He enjoyed spending time and was very proud of his daughter Danielle's accomplishments. He is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Matt Gridley) Hamilton of Rochester, two brothers, Donald (Joan) Hamilton, John (Mary Lee) Hamilton, a half-brother, Wayne (Natalie) Kirkham, Kay's surviving family, and several nieces and nephews Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A graveside service and Full Military Honors will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in Greenmount Cemetery in Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
